Description
Another photo taken in my favourite place near Dubeč village. This time I used a Nikon 200-500mm telephoto lens with a Nikon Z7 camera.
I stood on the western shore of the lake and watched the beautiful landscape. Apart from black cormorants and grey herons, the only two white birds were there. A white heron perched high in a tree branch and a white swan floating on the lake. Just beautiful.
But there are also two beautiful groups of white birch trees on the opposite shore, surrounded by dark deciduous trees.
I tried to photograph the white trees and their reflections on the water surface so that they were vertically blurred. Sometimes this technique is also called "painting with light". The idea is to set a slightly longer exposure time (in this case 1/8s) and wiggle the camera up and down during the exposure. This then creates this interesting "vertical blur" effect.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
