Description
Black and white photograph of a beautiful swan swimming on the dark surface of a lake. There was only this one swan on the whole pond that day. She must have been a little bored or hungry, because as soon as I approached the water, she swam right up to me. At first I was a little afraid of her because she was coming dangerously close to me :) But eventually we became friends and she followed me wherever I went.
I took this photo in July 2021 at the Lítožnice pond in Dubec on the outskirts of Prague. It is a newly reclaimed landscape to best suit animals and nature as such. Even if you are in the city, it almost feels like a wilderness. Just sit on the shore and you can watch swans, herons, cormorants and many other animals. I love this place and I go back often.
